Courage and Spiritual strength are essential to any Christian if we are to battle the spiritual warfare that stands before us every day.
Our Christian armor is made to be worn at all times and should not be taken off until the battle is over and we have finished our course. We are not to fight against our human enemies or our corrupt nature only, but against the devils assault who desires nothing less than to devour our souls.
By God’s grace, we are not to yield to the evil one. No, we must resist him whose aim is to torment us. If we resist, he will flee. By distrusting our cause or our armor, he will clearly have the advantage over us.
The armor of God can be compared with the armor of soldiers from the past.
First of all, they had nothing for the back. They weren’t expected to turn their backs on the enemy. If we turn our backs, we are defenseless to our enemy as well.
